This policy describes how FixerCalc (https://fixercalc.com) handles information when you use the calculators and other pages on this site. You can use the tools without creating an account. We do not ask for your name, home address, or payment card on these pages.

Information stored in your browser

The optional US/metric toggle may be saved in localStorage on your device so the preference persists. A cookie-notice dismissal may also be saved locally so the banner does not reappear on every visit. Share links put calculator inputs in the URL query string on your machine; we do not receive those numbers unless you send someone the link, or your browser or an extension transmits the full URL.

Logs and hosting

This site is hosted on Cloudflare. Cloudflare and our application logs may process standard request data such as IP address, user agent, requested URL, and approximate location derived from IP, for security, abuse prevention, and operations. We do not sell that information.

Google Analytics

FixerCalc uses Google Analytics 4 to understand how the site is used: pages viewed, approximate location, device type, and referrer. Google may set cookies or use similar identifiers on your browser. Calculator inputs you type are not sent as Analytics events. Google's independent processing of this data is described at business.safety.google/privacy and policies.google.com/privacy.

You can opt out of Google Analytics using the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

Advertising cookies (Google AdSense)

FixerCalc uses Google AdSense. Google ads may appear on this site. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to your website or other websites.

Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to your users based on their visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.

Users may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors' uses of cookies for personalized advertising by visiting www.aboutads.info.

California and similar laws

We do not sell your personal information for money. Google advertising cookies may be treated as a “sale” or “sharing” of personal information under some US state privacy laws because they help serve or measure ads. You can opt out of personalized Google ads using Ads Settings, linked above. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16.

European Economic Area, UK, and Switzerland

Where consent is required by law for advertising cookies, Google may show a consent message and we follow Google's consent requirements for publishers. You can also use the opt-out links in this policy. This site is written for US homeowners; it is still available worldwide.

Children

The site is intended for adults planning home projects. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, and we do not direct the site at children.

If we change how we collect or use information, we will update this page and the “Last updated” date. The current version is the one that applies.
